Overview
The Ultra Rimblades are made from an extremely lightweight material for reduced rotation mass. The Ultras are a great value product designed to offer protection against light curb impacts at parking speeds and additionally to enhance the style with color trim rings or cover up existing damage on your alloy wheels. They also provide medium wheel protection against small road debris (flying gravel, for example) and parking scuffs. They have replaced our original Rimblades & Scuffs products.
Construction
The Ultra Rimblades are manufactured in Santoprene by Exxon Mobil, which is part of the TPV family. While technically a plastic, it has the look and feel of rubber. Santoprene is a very expensive raw material that costs three times more than normal plastics.
The Ultra Rimblades have a thin wire core that runs through the middle of the profile to prevent the rim protector from ever stretching or retracting due to extreme temperatures.
The Ultra Rimblades come factory equipped with an original automotive grade 3M VHB (Very High Bond) tape, with a resilient orange liner.
Bond on universal fit
The Ultra Rimblades have a flexible guide lip on the top face for easy perfect installation. Due to the flexible nature of the material, they can conform to a multitude of different wheel shapes (although they require a continuous surface).
The Ultra Rimblades must be custom cut for each application. They are supplied in lengths of 4 x 1.9 meters and fit wheels with a maximum diameter of 22 inches. They come with 3M wheel cleaning wipes and 3M 06396 adhesion promoters (REACH compliant).

The Ultra Rimblades are flexible and rolled inside a sturdy two-part box measuring 16 x 16 x 7 cm
