Hankook Pull is aSouth Korean tire manufacturer which was created in 1941 under the name Chosun Tyre in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. It wasn't until 1978 that the brand took its current name. In Korean, Hankook simply means "South Korea". Hankook is therefore, according to its name, the tire brand of Korea. The brand has invested a lotin pneumatic technologies. Today, Hankook has 5 R&D centers in Korea, Germany, China, Japan, and the United States, and over 22,000 employees worldwide. This has allowed the Korean tire brand to become7th largest tire producer in the world in 2017 with 104 million units produced that year. If Hankook is primarily known for its passenger car tires, the Korean tire manufacturer also produces batteries, brake pads, and wheels. Hankook is very involved in football and isofficial sponsor of the UEFA Europa League, of Real Madrid, of AS Monaco, of Borussia Dortmund, of SSC Naples. In terms of motorsports, Hankook sponsors and exclusively supplies the tires for the DTM, the German Touring Car Championship.
