Why perform a brake fluid bleed on your car?
Brake fluid degrades over time and with use due to the heat generated during braking. Moisture then seeps into the braking system, which affects braking performance and can damage other components like the ABS. Degraded brake fluid leads to a decrease in braking power and longer stopping distances.
– When to bleed the brake fluid?
Most manufacturers recommend bleeding the brake fluid every 2 years or annually for intensive driving. Some signs indicate that a brake bleed is necessary, such as when the brake pedal becomes soft, braking is less responsive, or the fluid level is too low in the reservoir.
How to bleed the brake fluid?
